Salt Creek Golf Links

Set in the beautiful hills of Northumberland County, Salt Creek Golf Links is a scenic 18-hole, par 65
course with beautiful natural topography and a relaxed atmosphere. Each hole tests the player in a
different way and offers a chance to make use of all clubs. Natural woods and water make playing the
eight par 3’s, nine par 4’s and one par 5 an enjoyable experience.

How Did It All Start?

In the 1980’s, the Lavers were renting the south part of what is now the golf course to several farmers to
pasture cattle on, while growing crops on the north. When the neighbouring Glovers opened up their
driving range; Elmer Laver thought it might be a good idea to start a small golf course. As he was riding
his 4-wheeler by the big pine tree on the hill overlooking Salt Creek, he came up with a plan that would
become a 9-hole par 3 golf course which quickly grew to 18 holes. . And, as owner and former CDHS
Student Don Laver says, “The rest is history and all are welcome (from beginner to amateur) to enjoy
how our vision turned into reality!”

Don Laver has been generous to support our CDHS2023 Reunion with 6 weekend passes for 2 people
with a cart that are good in either 2022 or 2023.  We think these could make a great Christmas present
and so, the CDHS2023 Reunion Committee is offering them for sale now (pick up or delivery of the
passes will need to be arranged). Each pass is valued at $90 and we will sell them for $75 at this time
(but we will certainly take an offer for full value!!) … first come..first served — just PM us to reserve the
pass(es) and we will connect to arrange payments.
